Good to know:
- The Stanserhorn is a mountain in Switzerland, with the peak at 1,900 m.
- CabriO is a result of marvellous precision and explicit engineering. The lower deck has big wall-to-wall windows, and can fit 60 people. Spiral staircase leads up to the roofless upper deck, which has room for about 30 people. You would enjoy fresh mountain air and stunning 360° panoramic views.
- Getting there: Luzern – Stans is about 15-20 minutes train or 15 minutes car ride. Then, 5 minutes walk to the Stanserhornbahn, from there a historical vintage funicular to Kälti (around 20 minutes). Finally, a ride in CabriO to the Stanserhorn (around 6 minutes).
- Prices in CHF per person, for the round trip Stans-Stanserhorn: Adults – 74.00; Half-fare ticket – 37.00; GA – free.
- Open hours: the Stanserhorn will be open until November 29th, 2020. The first departure from Stans is daily at 08:15. During the high season the departure is scheduled every 10 minutes. Therefore, no stress on missing a ride to up or down. The last departure from the Stanserhorn is at 17:15.
- Special hours: From June 18, 2020 to November 14, 2020. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening rides until 10:00 pm (every 30 minutes), last descent 11:00 pm.
- Check on the weather report before your trip as the best views are on sunny days.
- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. When it comes to any mountain trail, the difference between fun and sorrow is down to how good your shoes are. Also, don’t forget about sun protection and hydration.
